Please call 911 if there is an immediate risk for harm or an emergency
On November 20th, 2020, T-Mobile announced that their customers can dial 988 to connect to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) designated 988 as the three-digit number on July 16, 2020 and the National Suicide Hotline Designation Act was signed into law on September 21st, 2020. The purpose of the new 3-digit number is to ensure mental health crisis and suicide prevention services are accessible to everyone.
Telecommunication companies have until the July 2022 deadline set by the FCC to begin utilizing the new number. This puts T-Mobile just over a year and a half ahead of schedule, so it is imperative to note: All non T-mobile customers needs to use the current National Suicide Lifeline number.
